GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Officials from Rappahannock Electric Cooperative and Dominion Energy warned that a quarter inch of ice could snap power lines and trigger multi-day outages in Fredericksburg, with snow set to accumulate Saturday night into early Sunday. - ➤ Stafford County riders have experienced overcrowded 6:30 a.m. OmniRide buses on Jan. 20 and 21 (raising concerns about safety during long trips to Washington) while the transit agency said it will review ridership data and adjust service if needed. Potomac Local News
- ➤ VDOT announced limited ridesharing parking at two Park and Ride lots—Route 17 in Stafford and Route 1 with Commonwealth Drive in Spotsylvania—starting this weekend in Fredericksburg due to winter weather operations.
