The Venerable monks marched through town Friday morning along Lafayette Boulevard before crossing the Chatham Bridge into Stafford County (they are now headed north toward Washington, D.C.).

Buddhist monks on a 2,300-mile walk from Fort Worth passed through Fredericksburg this week after an icy winter storm, offering residents a peaceful break from the cold.
