- ➤ Fredericksburg rubber duck races are set to revive on July 4 near the Chatham Bridge, with proceeds supporting local conservation and park improvements. - ➤ Rappahannock Education Farm in White Oak resumes volunteer hours today (this afternoon, tomorrow, and Saturday) to prepare for planting later this month. Fredericksburg Free Press
- ➤ The Fredericksburg City School Board approved the FY27 budget of $68.4 million Monday night, which includes a 7% raise for teachers & will be reviewed by City Council on March 10. Health insurance rates will rise 10.5% but staff costs remain unchanged. Fredericksburg Free Press

- ➤ Former Fredericksburg Commonwealth’s Attorney La Bravia J. Jenkins died over the weekend—Feb. 28 through Mar. 1—in Louisville, Kentucky at age 72. She served from 2008 to 2021 and helped launch the Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center as local officials expressed sorrow over her passing. Potomac Local News
