- ➤ On Wednesday night, a fire at Lake of the Woods required help from several fire departments — Lake of the Woods Volunteer Fire Department, Mine Run VFC, Orange Volunteer Fire Company, Spotsylvania County Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Management Engine 7 — and no one was hurt while firefighters stressed that closing bedroom doors can slow fire spread and save lives — a key safety tip shared to help residents —.
