- ➤ Art lovers can browse and buy at the free 75th annual fine arts show held at the Dorothy Hart Community Center this weekend. - ➤ College students from Mary Washington and Germanna participated in a Braver Angels debate on social media's role in democracy during the VA250 event in the Chandler Ballroom, where guided audience questions helped shape a conversation focused on respectful dialogue. - ➤ Stafford County approved a $25 million loan — using its Literary Loan program — to help cover part of the estimated $113.1 million cost for the new Drew Middle School. Construction plans will proceed once final approvals are secured. The Free Lance–Star

- ➤ The Fredericksburg VA outpatient clinic in Spotsylvania County celebrated its one-year anniversary Friday with a resource fair for veterans. Officials said the facility added 35 services and is planning more hiring while federal representatives remain concerned about staffing and equipment (improvements are expected soon). - ➤ City officials sought nominations for a new wall of honor on Friday, March 20 — inviting residents to submit names of community members who have enriched local life. The Free Lance–Star
- ➤ On March 17, the Stafford County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution accepting an open space easement on a forested preserve in the Widewater area following an update on its long running Purchase of Development Rights program — protecting rural lands and waterways. Potomac Local News
- ➤ Stafford County Chief Operations Officer Chris Edwards said new regulations prohibit data centers from using potable water for cooling & require reclaimed wastewater to support local growth. The county approved this system to manage increased demand. The Free Lance–Star

- ➤ UMW men’s basketball beat Chicago on Thursday to reach the NCAA Division III semifinals for the first time, and the Eagles will meet Trinity tonight at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
