EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Stafford County elementary schools will operate on a new tiered schedule for the 2025-2026 school year as some schools will start at 8:15 a.m. and end at 2:45 p.m. while others will begin at 8:45 a.m. and finish at 3:15 p.m.—the change is aimed at reducing busing delays and helping families plan after-school care; middle and high school schedules remain unchanged. - ➤ Education leaders have questioned why Indigenous Peoples’ Day was missing from the online history standards for primary grades—an oversight the department confirmed was corrected after reviewing board work sessions in 2023.
