  • Micah Ministries and partner churches will gather at 5:45 p.m. on April 5 at Shiloh Old Site (801 Sophia St.) for a public memorial service honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The event will include the annual Drum Major for Justice Awards recognizing Florence Ridderhof for her grassroots service work and Dr. Paula Royster for her genealogical research, with financial gifts from nine downtown churches supporting the Jeremiah Community and Fredericksburg Education Foundation.  Fredericksburg Free Press

  • Riverside Center for the Performing Arts is hosting a production of Jesus Christ Superstar that focuses on the journey of Jesus and his challenging relationship with Judas.   • Triple A Mid-Atlantic says gas prices in our area rose three cents from last week — with drivers paying $2.96 per gallon, a penny less than last month and 49 cents lower than the same day last year.   • UMW held its Career and Internship Fair — hosted at the Cedric Rucker University Center’s Chandler Ballroom — where hundreds of students met with 45 local and regional employers.   • Governor Glenn Youngkin visited Stafford County today—urging Northern Virginia officials to reinstate cooperation with federal immigration authorities after a suspected MS-13 gang leader was arrested in Dale City—and cited local calls to restore a federal program for referring undocumented immigrants to ICE.  Potomac Local News
