- ➤ Caroline County supervisors plan to propose modest updates at Bowling Green, Caroline Middle, and Caroline High and a dramatic expansion of Madison Elementary instead of building a fourth school to ease overcrowding, while school officials say stalled FY25 funds for trailers are holding up progress (pending a county audit). - ➤ CSX will close Route 638 (Lansdowne Road) at the Fredericksburg-Spotsylvania County line for rail‑crossing maintenance from 9 a.m. Monday until 9 p.m. Thursday, affecting 8,300 vehicles daily with detours via Mine Road, Benchmark Road, Tidewater Trail, Patriot Highway, Lafayette Boulevard and Blue and Gray Parkway.
