- ➤ Virginia farmers are facing a 40% jump in fertilizer prices and rising diesel costs as fuel supply issues from the Iran war affect shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. - ➤ Traffic patterns will be affected as alternating lane closures and temporary detours take place on I-95, Route 1 and several bridges in Fredericksburg and nearby counties — work is scheduled during off-peak hours with some projects finishing by summer 2026 or later. Fredericksburg Free Press
