- ➤ Kaeser Compressors held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday and began expanding its U.S. headquarters with 80,000 square feet in Spotsylvania County to add jobs in warehouse operations and trades. Biz Beat Roundup also reported upcoming events including ribbon cuttings for a new Advance Auto Parts outlet and a Kalahari welcome center on May 7, a First Watch opening on May 12, and awards given by the Fredericksburg Chamber — a sign of renewed local business momentum — as more companies lease new spaces in the region. - ➤ Dr. Van Wilson has been named interim president at Germanna Community College effective July 1 and will take over from Dr. Janet Gullickson, who retires after eight years.
