- ➤ Hundreds of Fredericksburg-area residents and officials gathered on Sunday at the Mary Washington memorial on Washington Avenue, where the U.S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corps led a procession with reenactors and vintage vehicles. Washington Heritage Museums hosted the event and announced upcoming renovations to create more accessible pathways and educational opportunities—enhancements that will improve the historic site.
