- ➤ Lee Enterprises recovered from a cybersecurity incident that began on Feb. 3 and cost millions, incurring $2 million in restoration costs while disruptions to printing, digital content, and billing services occurred; however, the incident will continue to affect the company’s balance sheet until the fiscal year ends—insurance claims are pending. - ➤ Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears signed Virginia’s in-progress reproductive rights amendment but added a handwritten note stating she is morally opposed to it—claiming it fails to protect the child. As Senate president, she must sign passed bills without added remarks and has made a similar note on a previous marriage equality bill. Fredericksburg Free Press
- ➤ Stafford County supervisors approved nearly $9 million for school projects, with $3 million to buy a warehouse on Blackjack Road, $3.1 million for Chromebooks, and $2.5 million for land to rebuild Drew Middle School—some members raised concerns about losing lease income while others said the purchase would pay for itself over time. The board also voted to renovate a fire station for EMS training and to advance solar projects at retired landfill cells. Fredericksburg Free Press
