- ➤ The Marine Corps Historic Half returns this weekend as the Semper Fred 5K runs on May 17 with road closures in the Central Park area from midnight to 9 a.m., affecting Gordon Shelton Boulevard and parts of Carl D. Silver Parkway. On May 18, the half marathon will cover Central Park, Cowan Boulevard, Hospital Hill, and Historic Downtown Fredericksburg with street closures and parking restrictions from 4 a.m. until about 11 a.m. Potomac Local News

- ➤ Fredericksburg hired Hanna Taylor as its new Environmental Sustainability Coordinator to lead the push for 100% renewable energy in municipal operations by 2035.
