- ➤ Mount Olive Baptist Church celebrated its 208th anniversary after member Edward Parker paid off the $286,056 mortgage three weeks earlier; the congregation marked the debt burning + now plans a new family center to boost community outreach. Fredericksburg Free Press
- ➤ Virginia Railway Express will run special Fireworks Trains on Saturday, July 4, on the Manassas and Fredericksburg lines to help locals celebrate Independence Day and the 250th anniversary. Tickets go on sale June 1 for $20 for adults and $10 for kids, and riders will receive a commemorative LED sparkler. Potomac Local News
