- ➤ More than 200 students from James Monroe High School volunteered on a rainy Tuesday across local nonprofits in memory of Ceili Leahy. - ➤ On May 26, the Stafford County Board of Supervisors reviewed a proposal from Marine Corps Base Quantico to increase its water allocation while renewing long-term access to county infrastructure * supervisors also questioned the reservoir’s safety. Potomac Local News
- ➤ Federal lawmakers plan to reauthorize the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program to support 13,533 Virginia vendors (SWaM and DBE) and ensure fair access for women and minority-owned businesses through a proposed bill that may alter recent qualification rules. Fredericksburg Free Press
- ➤ Gov. Spanberger signed Tuesday a new law that bans kratom products containing the chemical (7-OH) and restricts sales to those 21 and older while requiring products to be kept behind counters after Fredericksburg legislator Joshua Cole raised health concerns. Fredericksburg Free Press
