  • I-95 is closed at Exit 130—where Route 3 meets the highway—due to downed power lines that may be live, and emergency crews are working to secure the area while drivers face heavy backup of traffic into Stafford County amid rainy weather.  Potomac Local News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • FAMPO's policy committee voted 9-1 in favor of +Option C+ for a new road and bridge over the Rappahannock River from Celebrate Virginia Parkway to Gordon Shelton Boulevard, and the decision will allow Michael Baker International to complete its study and lead to further review under the National Environmental Policy Act+.  Fredericksburg Free Press
  • Multiple road work projects are underway in the Fredericksburg region—affecting highways like Interstate 95 and Route 1 along with numerous local roads with alternating lane closures for milling, paving, and utility repairs.
