Good morning, Fredericksburg.

A TAC report found that between July and December 2024 the Fredericksburg Region’s homeless helpline referred only 10% of 1,256 calls for shelter while affordable housing shortages, rising evictions, and racial disparities worsened the situation.

Local officials will use this roadmap to boost rapid rehousing and low-barrier programs—though current resources are still stretched.

Local Lions clubs raised $30,000+ to build a barn at the Rappahannock Education Farm on White Oak property where the barn will store machinery, equipment and produce and host classes.

The farm donates its vegetables to organizations that feed the hungry and reduce food insecurity while volunteers plant, harvest and pull weeds regularly.
