- ➤ The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the Leadership Fredericksburg Class of 2026 and selected 33 local professionals who will meet monthly from September through May — working on community projects and receiving mentorship — to build practical skills in areas like public safety and education. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Stafford County deputies are searching for Andre Bennett Jr.—a Black man with long dreadlocks last seen wearing a gray shirt, black shorts and red shoes—after he fled a traffic stop and crashed near the Giant grocery store on Town and Country Drive Thursday afternoon, and his vehicle has been recovered as officials believe he is hiding in a wooded area. - ➤ On July 20, two Spotsylvania County residents were charged with misdemeanors after a man and an accomplice hurled racial slurs at Amylah Majors and Jamaria Gaskins on Partlow Road—a confrontation that led to a car crash which totaled their vehicle and injured the victims—and police are investigating further hate crime charges.
