- ➤ Fredericksburg voters will use paper ballots as required by state law to vote in a November election that features contests for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, a House of Delegates seat and local offices such as city council and school board. - ➤ This fall, voters in Stafford will choose Board of Supervisors and School Board members for Garrisonville, Hartwood, Falmouth, and Aquia as candidates outline plans for economic growth and issues like Buc-ee’s and data centers + address community concerns. - ➤ Stafford County’s Planning Commission will present a proposal on Tuesday, Aug. 19 to increase the setback from 100 to 500 feet and widen the vegetative buffer from 50 to 200 feet between data centers and nearby homes, schools, and other sensitive areas—changes prompted by a review of 16 data center proposals and community input.
