  • Virginia officials are increasing research efforts to combat the invasive spotted lanternfly—an insect that has spread along railways and highways across more than half the state and threatens vineyards and trees.  Fredericksburg Free Press

  • Today’s roundup features a federal probe into GMU’s alleged unlawful hiring practices—with the university given 10 days for corrective measures—and a statewide housing survey where 84% of respondents back legislative steps to ease shortages and rising costs.
