- ➤ On Saturday, over 60 volunteers planted 6,500 kale and collard seedlings at Rappahannock Education Farm in White Oak+ groups from Mountain View High School volleyball, American Heritage Girls, and UMW’s Center for Community Engagement helped plant the seedlings that will be grown and donated to families in need. - ➤ Dr. Stan Jones, a longtime educator with over 35 years of experience, announced he will run as a write-in candidate for the Ward 4 school board seat on Nov 4. He said his campaign will focus on accountability—improving transparency and student performance, urging local residents to vote for change. Fredericksburg Free Press
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Over the weekend, a Fredericksburg event honored Austen Dunn and raised awareness about brain aneurysms—organizers remembered Dunn and explained the condition’s risks. The Brain Aneurysm Foundation led the effort to share key facts and safety tips with locals. Fredericksburg Free Press
