- ➤ Rock Out Knock Out Homelessness is the last chance for community donations today—held at Southpoint Walmart in Spotsylvania from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Social workers collected donations Friday and will help unload the truck this evening to support Treasure House programs for local students. - ➤ The Free Lance Star will print six days a week starting Nov. 3—dropping its Monday edition—to meet changing reader needs while still offering a daily digital copy and full local news coverage. Fredericksburg Free Press

CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The James Monroe Museum in Fredericksburg is hosting a program called 'Remembering Eliza' this Sunday from 1–3 p.m.—the event honors Eliza Monroe Hay, daughter of President James Monroe, and recognizes the effort of researchers and community partners who helped bring her remains back from Paris. Her reinternment will take place later this month at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond. Fredericksburg Free Press

- ➤ The Fredericksburg City School Board will appoint an interim Ward 3 representative during its Monday meeting at 6:15 p.m. after Jennifer Boyd resigned due to moving out of town—four city residents have applied and public comments will be heard before the board votes to fill the seat until December 31. - ➤ On Oct. 2, voters filled Dodd Auditorium at University of Mary Washington for a debate in the 65th House District race — Delegate Joshua Cole and challenger Sean Steinway discussed healthcare, transportation, and education while local groups co-hosted the event. Potomac Local News
