- ➤ Fredericksburg’s Planning Commission approved a plan to build a new coffee shop drive-through at Cowan Station on U.S. Route 1—this project is expected to boost local convenience for commuters. The development will begin construction soon, though final dates have not been set. Potomac Local News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sam Shoukas and Megan Samples preview the upcoming Housing Summit at the Fredericksburg Convention Center—regional leaders and community members will discuss local housing challenges and plan to network for solutions. Fredericksburg Free Press
- ➤ Southbound Route 1 on Falmouth Bridge—carrying about 40,000 vehicles daily—will be reduced to a single lane for a routine inspection set for Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and northbound lanes will remain open. Fredericksburg Free Press
