- ➤ Fredericksburg City Council approved a special-use permit last week to convert the old Mary Washington Hospital into 242 apartments and commercial spaces, with Rebkee planning to use historic tax credits and an adjacent lot to become a park — several new businesses, including Chunky Cup and an arcade called Cosmic Clawcade, are set to open soon in the region.
