- ➤ Always Flavored announced the free community dinner for 200 people affected by the government shutdown is full—thankful for support from partners Obedience Kings Dog Training, Billikens Smokehouse, and Always Flavored. - ➤ Fredericksburg Main Street announced the grand opening of the Riverfront Park Ice Rink (701 Sophia Street) for holiday celebrations. The nonprofit hosts the event in partnership with the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce. Potomac Local News

- ➤ At a Fredericksburg school board meeting, parents raised concerns that school-issued laptops allow unsupervised access to YouTube and online games and urged officials to add parental controls. Board member Malvina Kay asked staff to return in December with a plan to restrict these services while district officials reported that an AI-driven app flagged 15 students and set up safety plans for 11. - ➤ Stafford County Public Schools held their 15th Annual Band Together to Fight Hunger event on November 7, where five high school marching bands performed the National Anthem and America the Beautiful to raise 4,304 pounds of food and $17,340 in donations — funds that will support SERVE, local pantries, and the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank.
