- ➤ At a Region III legislative breakfast, school officials including Fredericksburg’s Belen Rodas urged local legislators to increase funding for mental health services in public schools to meet student needs and address severe staffing shortages—citing ratios that fall far short of national recommendations. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality expanded its drought watch advisory on Monday to 50 counties and 23 cities because dry weather has lowered streamflow and groundwater levels in many parts of the state.
