COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday morning, volunteers at Rappahannock Education Farm in White Oak harvested over 500 pounds of produce to donate to four church pantries, boosting the nonprofit's yearly total to 34,400 pounds. They also cleared frost-damaged zucchini and cucumber plants and planted a cover crop (steps taken to help fight hunger in our community). Fredericksburg Free Press

- ➤ Several Fredericksburg-area groups and schools received grants from Virginia Agriculture in the Classroom—70 grants totaling over $33,000—to fund educational projects. The Free Lance–Star
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Dominion Energy's planned 70-mile Kraken Loop transmission line is raising local concerns as residents in Caroline, Spotsylvania and Stafford counties noted potential impacts on orchards, property values and health at meetings held at Madison Elementary School and elsewhere. Dominion will hold further community sessions in the first quarter to finalize power line routes before the State Corporation Commission reviews the project. Fredericksburg Free Press
