- ➤ Bob Whittingham is building his annual Christmas windows behind closed curtains at 1021 Caroline Street, and the curtain will be removed on Thanksgiving night at 6 p.m. A behind the scenes tour is scheduled Thursday night — a cherished local tradition — to reveal how the windows are made. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ State regulators approved Dominion Energy's rate increase that will raise the average residential bill by $13.60 over two years—$11.24 in 2026 and $2.36 in 2027—about 30% lower than the initial request. They also set up a new rate class for large users that will begin on Jan. 1 to shield other customers from additional costs. Fredericksburg Free Press

- ➤ Mary Washington alumni are urging donors to support the College of Arts and Sciences General Fund on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 2—Paddy Link ’72 will match gifts up to $5,000 to help fund classroom upgrades, guest speakers and community-engaged projects.
