- ➤ Local designer Eto Otitigbe and educator Gaila Sims revealed new renderings for a downtown memorial honoring enslaved persons sold at the old auction block. The design, featuring bronze bricks and an upside down obelisk, remains in progress as a virtual meeting will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church on Jan. 7. Fredericksburg Free Press
