- ➤ Goodwill will launch its CareerPath Accelerator in April 2026 (an AI-powered platform that connects job seekers, training providers, and employers) to boost workforce skills in healthcare, technology, and skilled trades in our region. Fredericksburg Free Press

- ➤ UMW partnered its Chief of Police Michael Hall with Professor Alan Griffith and junior Jillian Rosenquist to map nearly 90 blue light emergency phones across campus to boost safety + improve response accuracy; the project also secured Rosenquist a summer internship with the U.S. Architect of the Capitol. University of Mary Washington
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Motorists in the area will find lane closures and detours on several routes including Route 1, Route 207 northbound, and Route 301 for tree trimming, utility repairs, and intersection improvements (some projects extend into summer 2027). Fredericksburg Free Press
