- ➤ FailSafe-ERA's Christmas Holiday Shoppe provided free shopping, meals, clothes, and school supplies to 60 families affected by incarceration at the Fredericksburg Convention Center Wednesday night — a public effort involving Community Threads and local churches to ease holiday financial strain. - ➤ Community leaders in Fredericksburg are seeking public input for a memorial at the former Auction Block site, with five events scheduled virtually + in person from Jan. 7 to March 10. Interested residents can share ideas to shape the memorial's design. The Free Lance–Star
