- ➤ The Wee Christmas event at Kenmore welcomes local visitors with festive displays and photo opportunities. The venue is open today (10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 12 to 4 on Sunday) with tickets available at the door. Fredericksburg Free Press
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Burke and Herbert and LINKBANK, two banks with strong local ties, will merge when Burke and Herbert acquires LINKBANK in an all-stock deal valued at about $354.2 million. The merger is expected to close in Q2 2026, which may shift local branch operations including LINKBANK’s branch at 410 William St. Fredericksburg Free Press
- ➤ O'Reilly Auto Parts opened a 550,000-sqft distribution center in Stafford County to support current and future Mid-Atlantic stores, adding over 225 jobs and incorporating advanced automation technology alongside traditional methods. Potomac Local News

- ➤ The City invites locals to a Civil War exhibit reception on First Friday, Jan. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Fredericksburg — at 5:30 p.m., Beth Parnicza will interview Steve Morin to share insights, and the free exhibit runs until Feb. 1. Potomac Local News
- ➤ Gingerbread at Ferry Farm showcases festive gingerbread displays with photos available through Dec. 30. The event runs Monday thru Saturday 10-4 & Sunday 12-4, with tickets sold at the door. Fredericksburg Free Press
