- ➤ Local business Element Contrast Studio offers sauna and cold-plunge therapy in downtown Fredericksburg. The studio officially opens this week — giving residents a new way to relax and rejuvenate. Fredericksburg Free Press

- ➤ Virginia ARTfactory will host a free screening of the social satire film Prosperity Creek on Jan. 10 at its venue, with donations accepted at the door and limited seating available so advance reservations are encouraged. The event is recommended for audiences 13 and up. Potomac Local News

- ➤ Upgrades at Rappahannock Education Farm in White Oak continue after local Lions clubs, including the Greater Falls Run Lions Club & Aquia Harbour Host Lions Club, began installing a new barn on Monday while workers build a 30-by-96 sqft greenhouse with support from the Honeywell Charitable Fund.
